All calls to the surgery 'out-of-hours' will be diverted to the emergency out-of-hours provider.I You can also directly by dialing 111.
Through this service you can access GP advice, nursing and palliative care, and possibly arrange home visits for urgent care that does not require attendance at A&E.
The out-of-hours service is not for routine appointments, chronic disease management, hospital referrals or repeat prescriptions.
In the case of a clear emergency such as a suspected heart attack or stroke call 999 immediately. Our local A&E Department is at the Conquest Hospital, The Ridge, St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, TN37 7RD.
Please remember that A&E is for real accidents and emergencies. If you attend with a minor illness you will wait for a long time to be seen and also delay care to those who really need it. If you are unsure whether you should go to A&E out of hours please call 111.
